Mean Green

The whole bottom half of my fan shroud is cut out. I had to do it with my set up. I haven't have any over heating issues, or any other issues with it.

Also i have a set of stock motor mounts in my parents garage in Irmo. Should be in great shape cause they came off my 06 jeep with 80k miles. If you know someone going to columbia, or want to go for a ride there they are all yours.

This week has been overwhelming. Done nothing but take 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Trying to balance family (17mo old girl and 5 month pregnant wife) and completing this pos before Oscar has literally beat me down. I have made ZERO progress all week. The Dr just recomended that my wife not even consider going so now shes out and I fly solo. I'm too forunate to be complaining, just needed a little vent.

I hate to hear you are flying solo.... but if the seats open and you need a passenger im looking for a seat.. I have made zero progress on my rig and my trans is no good, so there is no way my rig will make it to oscar. Let me know if ya wan't to fill the seat. I'll pay for your sammach and registration you had to eat... i can get myself to harlan, just don't have a ride when i get there.

it will all be worth it when you are on the trail at harlan cruising along enjoying the jeep.

If I dont have a passenger then you are more than welcome to ride. I will know by tomorrow most likely. One of my buddies who has only been on one trip is trying to get ahead on work so he can come although it will push me back to Thursday. I will let you know as soon as I know. I took the whole week off work to finish Jeep so waiting till Thursday whould be torturous. My ignition switch just took a dump and I found out that my radio already had RCA plugs on the backside:shaking:

Don't feel bad the RCA outputs are probably for an amp not inputs for an mp3. I it's an older radio it probably has some weird looking plug that requires a manufacturer specific adapter. Usually the newer ones just have a plain old headphone looking jack if they will take an aux output

I owe a huge thank you to Steve for his help today. He came over on Easter of all days to weld my shock towers in for me and when my welder didnt want to cooperate, he went to Abbeville and brought his back with him. All in the rain too. Its folks like this doing things on and off the trail that make four wheeling the greatest hobby in the world. Tomorrow I will charge the ORI's and see how bad I screwed everything up.

Haha man it was no big deal at all. I'm glad your wife didn't kill you for being so late to family Easter. Hope the TJ goes together and works out like you hope. She's gonna be sweet with the ORI's

Another thanks go out to Harvard who stopped by out of the blue today and didnt leave until the Jeep was done and the fridge was lighter. We mounted and charged the ORI's. It was amazingly simple to dial in ride height. I'm sure fine tuning will be in store after some seat time but the suspension cyled perfect with no binding anywhere. Thanks David for making me a last second modified set of shock towers that were more accomidating to my setup. They fit like a glove. We did some minor brake work and trimmed the fan shroud to clear the fan and then a couple hot laps through the neighborhood. I didnt expect to have it done today but damn it feels good. Now just need to do some minor wet sanding and buffing:eeek:
