Mean Green

The only tweaking I'm planning to do is cut off the trackbar bracket on there and notch the truss on the front to hug my existing tracbar bracket and then weld it to it. We will see though, tough to tell without the axle out.

I refurbished my old M8000. I broke the cable on the last trip out and the winch was just looking rough. Meaders at Clemson 4 Wheel Center got me all the right parts needed and in just a couple of days. I used Martin Seynour cast block paint fron Napa and I think the color looks close. Water had gotten in the winch from a few bad seals and it had begun to rust. It looks like I caught it before any damage could be done though. Damn it was a messy job.

Yea everything worked great. It was real nice to bring my Jeep back from a wheeling trip completely unharmed. It's been a long time. He built an upper link mount on my front diff to replace the damaged truss, installed AA cable shifters for the 241, replaced a front yoke and driveshaft and got my steering a little more dialed in. The driveshaft took a little longer than expected so I didn't pick my Jeep up until on the way to Windrock. When I got to his shop, he welded a broken shock back together for me and helped me install all my tires and wheels and mounted a spare. I think the work is top notch and the bill really was reasonable. I have been meaning to take a few pics but can't seem to find time for much of anything other than changing diapers and feeding babies. I did find time to warsh the ever living **** out of my Jeep though, knowdat! Chris told me that I really need a body lift to protect that front end from failure again. I just don't know if I can do it. I may need to massage the tub or something.

I have 1/2" clearance between the tub and the CV joint. Your right though, it is to avoid breaking the output off of the case, not the front end since it has been done right now.

Yes it's 2 to 3 inches higher. Ideally I would install a mm lift to return motor and tranny to factory angle and install body lift to clear it. Right now my motor mount bushings are twisted because of the raised case and the case is completely sandwiched between tub and skid.
