Mip CVDs came today... Next part to break..... Ring gears

Nice! I just got my mip's the other day as well.

I installed my cvds last night,(nice and smooth) I couldn't use the long through shaft set screws due to mips being a larger screw. Went to install my new CVDs on the 1/16 Revo, that's a several hours process involving removing the diffs and what not, tossed it back on the shelf.. Pulled out my nitro truck to put a radio back in it, Paired the RX to my 4pl, then fought with it for a hour trying to fidgure out how to work the Model memory... Well to sum it up... 5 min of actual work hour and a half of giving up...

Neverrrrrrr!!! Uh not sure I'm working this weekend and I'm busy pretty much until the 20th.... Unless you wanna come pick it up from Lexington you can get it whenever

Pulled the trans out, and the bolts were loose that hold the case togather. Tightend them up and put it back togather, still got the same problem.

thats not good... did you look at all the gears in the trans?

I cracked the trans open today and the gears looked fine. What is the slipper clutch supposed to look like? There was some sticky stuff hanging out the sides of the clutch and when I pulled it apart it was just metal on metal.

sounds like thats your problem, it should be a paper like disk in there between the metal. sounds like you burnt up the clutch, must have been too loose.

epoxy it together so it cant slip but then you have no fail safe, and you will perhaps start blowing up driveshafts and ring&pinions

you could maybe cut a circle out of a beer box and glue the glossy side toward the transmission. That would be similar to the stock clutch disc

I was thinking about a piece of gasket paper, parts stores have it.

Yeah Ill try the gasket paper. Is the factory clutch got alot of friction to it or what?
