Since i have SolidWorks again it was time to get another 3D Printer...
My first machine i ever had (access to) was a Makerbot2x Shooting ABS (x2) that was if i recall about a $2500 Printer, Worked pretty good, enough to pay for itself in R&D projects. but it was never quite right.
Fast forward about 3 or 4 years, I picked up a Ender3 for the low low cost of $190 shipped. Unit arrived in decent foam packaging with 8/10 quality instructions, full tool set including nice set of cutters, and a putty knife to remove prints. Took me about a hour to assemble it. I tossed the included slicer software in the trash, fired up cura (w/default settings) with a floaty model (standard model used to stress test a printer) and in just under 2 hours a perfect 9/10 Floaty came off..
I cant believe just how well a less than $200 printer worked....This thing is gonna me a nice addition to my toolbox...Really the only thing i'm missing is a Laser and Plasma table, but i have access to both...
