70s tool truck and an 08 express 3500 with 6.0.
The frames are a lot different and the van frame is a lot wider and srw. I thought about that too but with all the crossmembers and what not on the van and the truck being a straight flat ladder frame it was pretty easy.
Putting them back together was about the sketchiest thing I've ever done. Lifted the rear of the cab up with rear of 2-post lift and used forklift to hoist the front end up and then supported it with 2 2x3" of box on metal sawhorses and slid the frame under. Was probably 50" off the ground but that bad boy is heavy as hell
It turned out awesome I think, and looking up under the hood it looks like it all is suppose to be like it is.
