Today we ran the Trifecta; Poison Spyder to Golden Spike to Gold Bar Rim. It was a long day, 8 hours on trail, and the first half of Poison Spyder was the best part, but had a good time.
Start and end of Pritchett. We had an eventful day to say the least. Had a little roll in the rzr and both of us ran out of gas....note to self...always have a full tank.
Tripp, Bobby, and I took a short day today while the rest of the group went to Pritchett Canyon. We rode out to Hole in the Rock, ran back into the entrance of Hell's Revenge to see the dinosaur tracks, then went to Moab Rim. The first mile of Moab Rim up to the overlook was probably the most technical obstacles we ran all week.
Stopped by the mural this morning.
And other than my trans linkage, this is the extent of my damage this week. Poor exhaust pipe...
We got out of Moab around 10:00 AM Friday. We caught up to Dial a couple hours down the road after their second trailer bearing failure and a badly damaged spindle. We helped them get back on the road and got to Amarillo by (early hours of the) Morning. On the road again.
Black Bear was awesome at the top. We had to bail on the decent to Telluride and go Ophir over there. It felt like -30 at the top of Black Bear. We were not prepared to make that decent and get stuck for any long period of time.
We cruised in to Hodges last night at 2:30. Work started calling at 8AM and I was in the office at 9 somehow... I figure i'll make it a few hours today to help get the week over faster.
No flats, no major mechanical failures, a few things to replace on the rzr and tow rig after the trip... Lost an inner fender in Nashville on the way out and on of my BFG's started de-laminating last night in ATL. Hopefully they make it right....again. Second set that's done this to me.
Had an absolute blast out west. I will do a trip report on our end this week sometime.
I was off today since we knew we’d be back super late. Got woke up at 7:30 with work calls so I went in for a while so I’d get paid for my efforts. 6.5 hours less to do Friday now...
