Saturday I got the body lift and MML done. The body lift went very smoothly. The most time consuming part was removing and reinstalling the frame tie in brackets for the rear bumper to get access to the rear body mount bolts. The passenger side motor mount was easy. I had to remove the bracket from the block on the driver side because the through bolt hit the power steering pump, so that took a while. It took about 5 hours by myself. Dad came over and helped align the drivers side mount to get the bolt through.
Today I did the UCF skid. One of the skid bolts spun the insert... If that wouldn't have happened this would have been pretty easy. Luckily I was able to cut the head off the bolt, drop the pan, weld the insert to the bottom of the frame, weld a nut to what was left of the bolt, and get it out.
I also tacked the other 5 inserts while the pan was down so this won't happen again...
The factory skid gave about 12.5 inches ground clearance. The UCF is about 14.75. I didn't touch the tcase linkage and everything works fine. My front driveline vibes got better (liveable) but the rear got worse (noticeable). Hopefully the adjustable rear arms will be able to fix that.
