nothing, everything is still there, I may have missed a vacuum line somewhere. Let it run outside today for a few minutes and pulled it back in. I can't tell where the smell comes from, its not strong enough until i park it in the garage. All of the evap system is still there.

Mine has no evap system, and doesn't smell...

Yeah. I would think its something other than just a vent open though. I have a 5/8" line bent over with a filter on it coming straight from my tank, my garage is pretty tightly sealed, and it sits in there for weeks at a time with no smell. I feel like you have something else going on.

Hmmm, Guess i need to dig into it.

So I guess i need to drive it a little, the rear main/oil pan seal seams to have fixed itself?

Also, fuel filler hose was seeping near the tank that’s where the smell was coming from, tightened it and we will see what happens next time I fill up. Now to get into this thing...

Was adjusting the pinion angle last night and found a puddle under the jeep. Looks like the jeep is rejecting the new rear main seal. Time for a redo. Was it @jeepman1979 or @porterrss who did the rear main?

I put the seal in, but is it the seal or the pan?

min not sure how to tell, it’s leaking right at the back of the motor at the junction. I’m going to pull the pan today or tomorrow. Can you reuse the oil pan gasket if it isn’t the problem?



Also, the tub left today been a good 18 years old girl.

Ok, until now it didn’t really feel like the same jeep. Now that’s better.

it deffinetly rides better. I did a lot of changes during this build though. New shocks, rear Antirock, rebuilt all rear joints, better driveshaft angle, longer wheelbase.... it all added up to be freaking awesome.

I finally did, it made the process so easy and painless.

Wish i had known i fought tooth and fang rebuilding mine ended up using a press at work to get the snap rings back in.
