What a weekend! Got alot accomplished. First off i got my new hubs out of the boxes and redrilled them from 8x170mm to 8on6.5 to match the 14 bolt rear. I got this drill jig when i 1st put the front 60in my old buggy. A buddy of mine out in CO made it for me. 1/2 inch aluminum with 17-4 stainless steel drill guides in it, works like a champ for the hubs and rotors too. I GOT THE CAGE DONE! Pulled shocks today and started unbolting the cage. To say it was tight would be a HUGE understatement. I had to cut the back of tbe door striker where the factory b piller bolts in to get it out. Ill weld that back in later. Got everything final welded and ready for paint prep. Over all a very huge step in this build process. Hoping to be finished completely by the end of next month (sooner if i can keep this pace). Hope everyone that went had a great time at OSCAR! Time for some grub and a cold coors! 🍻

Got the cage onto my roll around jack stands, made moving it around alot easier. Went and got a DA sander today to start the paint prep and what would of been a several hour job scuffing everything was just a couple of hours. Got it all scuffed up and cleaned up with acetone. Ill clean it off with acetone and tack cloth this weekend and get it all primed and hopefully painted!

I looked into the 18v milwaukee fuel because all my cordless stuff is milwaukee but it was 119 bucks versus the 62 for the corded dewalt, not upset with it at all.
Well had a decently productive weekend. So overall i just wasnt happy with the height of the jeep. I wanted it lower so today i redid the front upper coilover mounts. I bought some of the new TMR coilover mounts for 1.75 tube. These things are slick! So i removed the C/Os and reset full bump and decided i needed it lower, so i notched out the back of the truss to let the harmonic balancer set down as far as possible and cut a piece out of the passenger side frame to allow for the track bar to go up another couple of inches. I think overall im down 2 inches lower with a 1/4 inch of preload in the C/O but i may swap springs again if i dont like where it sits once its finally assembled 100%. I also raptor lined the inside of the tub saturday. Got all the prep work done and sprayed 4 bottles of raptor at 100 psi. I LOVE the way it came out almost matches line-x perfectly. I cant say enoigh good things about the raptor product. New rear upper coilover mounts are on the way so i need to cut the others off the cage. Get it painted, re-installed into the jeep then i can reset the rears up. My list is getting shorter and shorter by the day so my goal is by end of the month to be driving it!
Sneak peek of the weekend, had my daughter this weekend so my dad came up and helped me get everything painted, what a huge help that was. Got the cage reinstalled after church sunday with the help of my buddies zach Savage and ian Harkins. Got the driver seat and harness installed late last night. Steering plumbing is done and rear cage frame tie ins are also done. Final assembly is underway!
Got my new rear shock mounts welded up and installed last week. What you see here is sitting at ride height! I worked in the garage after church today from 11am-9pm i didnt stop once. Got the front end buttoned back up and the front brake lines built and ran i also finished running the ram hoses and getting of that nice and neat. Seats.and harnesses are all installed, suttons kid cage and car seat are back in as well. Plan is to get it done before memorial day weekend, maybe sooner if time allows. Its almost done.
Well today was the day i took the jeep out on its 1st ride! Just kept it easy around the neighborhood but everything went very well! Need to tighten one coolant hose clamp and i will be ordering a TK1 sway bar for the rear as soon as funds allow. Overall VERY happy with everything!
