There will be multiple groups out each day. You'll be able to find people to ride with either way. I'm not sure what organized challenges are happening this year but we usually head to lions den Saturday midday to watch the bigger rigs there.
Generally the harder trails are done on Saturday. Stay at Putney side. Grab a tent or an enclosed trailer is what I use. There is a shower house and bathroom.
How are the rides going to be broken up.... what trails for the separate ride groups, and names of trails? Are only easy trails going to be on Friday, or are the different groups doing diff levels?

People will be hanging out and grouping up in the Putney campground. Jump in a group going to pinball, rail bed, fish fossil, lower rock garden, Killing time. Those are all fun trails and right along the main trail where you can run them or watch.
