Any frs/gmrs radio will work. Some can be programmed, some not, but as long as you know the channel and privacy tone you can talk.

I have a set of family radios I bought for the kids that I've used. They work great at close range.

I also have a midland MXT115 but the mic is terrible. Wouldn't recommend that one.

1958 CJ5 - and it's all stock. I can't wait to take it through Lions Den. I think the short wheel base and narrow axles will be a big plus.

Starting to get more excited about the trip.

Not sure how many will register to join us for everything but there are a lot of guys talking about coming up the same weekend. Going to be a lot of folks out on the trails.
