Supporter but can't get avatar working

I believe I have followed all the right steps to get this working but can't get the avatar to show a picture, also does the same thing with the profile picture. When I upload a file, it gives a broken image icon like this


My file I'm trying to upload is within the file size limits, is there something I'm missing?

Its a .jpg format.

Not sure if it is a requirement, but mine is a GIF. Try saving it as a GIF and upload it.

when I click on your avatar the hosted pic brings up a server error. We are reloading our servers to a new site, and that may have something to do with it. I'll check on it for you.

it should accept .gif or .jpg
