So I think I have seen them mounted to either the Tie rod or the Drag link with a full Tie rod setup like you have. With it setup like you have it will still have to go through 3 tie rod ends to dampen the tires, if you mount it to the tie rod it may be more direct. How you have it is how it would be from the factory because its a Y link from the factory.

Yeah that makes sense. It seem to have more room this way and less chance of binding. It drove great last night tho.
