I need to learn how to do research better. Apparently I should have bought the HD version from Timbren. They do not offer a lifted spindle with break flange for the ones I have. Oh well I have another solution up my sleeve for the tire clearance.
I was gunna do the truck stop scale. But thanx. I know I’m not as heavy as I was thinking. Those Timbren axles are alot sqwisheyer than I thought they would be. Now I know to build the fenders last. I redneck engineered it tho.
Just got the wheels back on and have about 4” of tire clearance. I started putting everything back in hopefully for the last time then we’ll see where it settles.
16”. Mine don’t touch the ground until I crank it but they have plenty of travel to get the tires off the ground if needed. This thing is sooo close to being finished. Well except that I’m remaking the doors when I get a metal break. They didn’t turn out so good.
I’m sure I’ll have some tweaking but it’s ready to ride. Headed to Carolina Adventure World tomorrow for a shake down. We’ll see how it pulls and works for a weekend.
