Post your Picture of the day

60 retaining wall blocks @ $2.30 each and I used some flat cinder blocks as a base I think $25 of those at $1.00 each. I was right around $150 in the whole project. We killed a few lowes gift cards we got for Christmas last year.

You could probably get away with 50 of the blocks and just put them down on the dirt. I liked the idea of having a hard bottom to scoop out the ashes on.

You use any fire brick In there? Always heard if you don't they'll crack but don't have any experience of it happening.

I thought the same thing, but I see all over the internet people using these blocks, and there is a kit from lowes to make something similar but smaller that uses the same style of block. It should work for what we want to do.

My GF's parents have a fire pit similar and made out of the same blocks. It has been there for 4 years and gets used a lot with no issues. I actually used it as a open cook pit about 3 years ago. So, I don't think you will have any issues with the blocks busting.

My regulator on my oxygen tank went out. It wasn't to old, I think 20 years or so. The matching one from the kit is on the acetylene tank in the pic. I found this old oxygen regulator in my grandpas stuff and was like hell why not lets try it before I have to buy another. Works like a charm. This thing is HUGE and heavy as hell. I thought it might break the stem off that bolts to the tank with how heavy it is.

Helped a buddy of mine from work put an AEV 2" spacer lift on a friend of his 08 JK last night after work. Certainly is nice having a lift in your garage to work on stuff. First time working on a JK, certainly is busy under the belly of it with the gas tank and skid stretching so far. Kinda hard to find a place to lift from.

Thanks to Jimbo for helping me out with where the shock extensions went.

Throw back Thursday to Easter 2013 when Volt needed dynamite fabs shock mounts burned and still keep the wife happy. Rained like hell that day. Under the tent in his driveway.
