Why do agency's have the extra resources to go after this sorta thing.. shouldn't they be cracking down on something actually dangerous to the public????

Low hanging fruit.

They are going after these trucks because a lot of them were VIN swapped and/or stolen. It sucks because many of these trucks have been in the US for the past 4 years or so. Also sucks because so many people invested a lot of money into these trucks (why, I do not know) and in a blink of an eye, your pride and joy is away on a rollback.

By coincidence I drove my 109 to work last Tuesday. I kept looking out the window. The 109 isn't in trouble of getting seized...but still...
