The Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway is a moderately difficult network of county roads within the Daniel Boone National Forest of eastern Kentucky.
Friends Of Boone (FOB) strives to maximize economic input from adventure tourism by organizing and supporting the county and public roads within the Daniel Boone National Forest of Kentucky. This historic network of roads has a long tradition of hiking, mountain biking, street legal four wheeling, horseback riding, adventure racing and many others activities. FOB is an umbrella group to all of the groups and individuals who wish to use and support the county and public roads for responsible and sustainable multi-use recreation.

The Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway is located in in the Red River Gorge area of Kentucky. Centered around Slade, KY, the DBBB was made possible through support from local counties, Southern Four Wheel Drive Association, and Ohio River Four Wheelers. Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway also deserves credit for it's establishment as a recognized, legal route. Remember to tread lightly and always respect land owners and their property.
