This is my second post on OffroadSC and I just wanted to catch everyone up on everything I have done to my jeep. I haven't been taking very many tech pics in the past, but I will make sure to in the future.

Mod List: 4.5" Rough Country Lift with aal, Logan's Metal Prerunner Bumper, Logan's Metal 8274 Winch Plate, Warn 8274, Surco Roof Rack, 50" LED Light Bar, Rampage H4 headlights, new 3 row radiator, Curt Trailer Hitch, Thrush Glasspack, RadioShack CB with crappy magnetic antenna, New head unit, new door speakers, 2 12" Kicker subs with a 1300 watt BOSS amp, and a Hi-Lift Jack.

Next Mods: 4x4 Conversion this summer (hopefully), Removable Doors, Napier Flares, Lock the 8.25, rear tire carrier bumper, rockers, skid plates, and a long arm conversion just to start.

It has been fun getting this far on a high school and college student budget lol.

Thanks, I got it for free lol. One of my friends had it for years on his YJ and his brother's XJ, they really abused it till it stopped working. One of them was gonna try to fix it and got it tore apart then gave up. I was asking about it and he said I could have it. I cleaned it all up, went through the brake assembly, swapped out the worn out motor for a new 4.5 hp one, replaced all the solenoids and wiring, threw some new cable on it and called it a day. I probably have around $200 in it. Hopefully this thing will outlast me now!

Logan's makes some good bumpers for the price. Nice XJ. I don't have a lift but do have a shop. Assemble the parts for the 4x4 swap and come up and I'll help you knock it out in a weekend.

Greetings offroadsc, I have returned to resurrect my account here! It has been a long while since I have posted anywhere but I will link my CherokeeForum thread for any who are interested.

It has been 6 years since my last post on that site and so much has happened. I still have my 00 XJ however I never reinstalled the rebuilt 4.0. Last year I acquired a 1999 XJ.

Mods on the 99 include:
  • 3" Lift
  • Rear shackle relocation brackets
  • T-case drop
  • 30" General Grabber ATs
  • Front and rear skid plates
  • Front and rear bumpers with a Zeak 12000 winch
  • Spartan locker up front
  • ZJ front seats
Maintenance and Upgrades I have done so far:
  • Replace radiator, thermostat, mechanical fan clutch, water pump, and inline heater core coolant filter
  • All fluids
  • New battery
  • A/C High Pressure port Schrader valve
  • Added cruise control with parts from my 00
Pending Issues:
  • Vacuum leak somewhere that sends the hvac to defrost under heavy acceleration
  • Brakes need replacement
  • Very small parasitic power draw somewhere

The plan is to use the 00 as a donor and swap all my goodies over to the 99 eventually. Things like the long arms, steering, and of course the 8274. I also have a good aw4, np231, and a fresh 4.0 rebuild in storage so hopefully I can keep this 99 on the road forever! The cruise control components already came in super handy :grinpimp:
