Socket organization... how do you do it?

#1
I've recently been trying to organize my garage a little more, specifically my sockets, wrenches, and plier. The other stuff just finds a home, but the sockets specifically were stored in the original craftsman trays from the tool kit I bought layed flat in the drawer. The space wasn't the most efficient. I had seen multiple socket organization options in stores and on amazon over the years but hadn't bit the bullet yet.

There is also the tool widget which is similar but modular. I use their organizers for wrenches, or at least I plan to, ordered some last week on sale.

So how are you guys doing it? With many of the preset organizers my socket sets don't match, either I have extra sockets, or not enough to complete the organizer and I hate the empty spaces as thats what I look for to know if something is missing. 1792155994581.png

I am with Larry. I recently switched from the lay down mag trays to the stand up ones like you guys show. I like them. Opens up some space and easy to find things.

So i bought some of the Ernst Socket rail trays and returned the magnetic sets, I had too many that were outside of the magnetic tray layout. With the Ernst i'm hoping to save some space. Also bought a few impact sets from TEKTON that come on the Ernst rails already. We'll see how it all shakes out in the next few weeks.
